Dwarahat, Nov. 19: As part of a charitable drive by Yogoda Satsanga Sakha Ashram — Dwarahat in Nayal and Kholiyabanj villages of Dwarahat area, sannyasis from the ashram distributed 200 sweaters to students from six schools including the Government Inter College, on 19th November 2022.

The school principal of the Government Inter College Sri GK Tripathi welcomed the YSS sannyasis — Swamis Lalitananda Giri and Nishthananda Giri, and Brahmachari Dhairyananda, and introduced Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) to the teachers and students present for the function. He also explained the significance of Mahavatar Babaji’s cave in the context of the revival of Kriya Yoga science that began with the meeting of the great saints – Mahavatar Babaji and his exalted disciple, Sri Sri Lahiri Mahasaya, and how the teachings were taken to the West by Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda in 1920. This was followed by a brief but inspiring cultural programme by the children.
Later Swami Nishthananda spoke about the history of the two spiritual organizations founded by Yoganandaji, Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) and Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF), and the charitable activities undertaken by YSS.
While Swami Lalitananda distributed the woollens which included 200 sweaters among the students of these six schools in the area near the cave of Mahavatar Babaji, all the children received sweets as prasad from Swami Nishthananda. Brahmachari Dhairyananda presented Guruji’s how-to-live booklets to the school teachers,.
